U.S. Air War College

Located at Montgomery Air Force Base, Alabama (U.S. state), with the Air University, the U.S. Air War College is the senior officer professional education institution of the United States Air Force. Students are typically lieutenant colonels expected to become generals; they are often promoted to colonel while in attendance.

The school is accredited to grant Masters' degrees. As opposed to the other services' war colleges, it is colocated with the midcareer schools and research institute.
