Da Ali G Show is a comedy show, where comedian Sacha Baron Cohen interviews unsuspecting celebrities and guests as a variety of characters. The main character is Ali G, a satire on the British urban/"chav" culture, using rap, rap and hip hop and other symbols of the American gangsta rap image, but subverting them by setting them in Staines. The show also features Borat, a discomforting Kazakhstani man who makes misogynist and culturally inappropriate references at every opportunity. Bruno is the other character which Baron Cohen plays - a gay, Austrian fashion and showbiz journalist, interviewing fashion and entertainment personalities, often outside nightclubs, and getting them to say outrageous things. The Borat character was used as the centrepiece of a feature-length film - Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, and the Bruno character is planned for a similar feature-length film.
