I study Cultural Anthropology at Leiden university, The Netherlands. I have not yet graduated (still working on that).

My main interest is Indonesia, focusing on West Sumatra and almost anything to do with Minangkabau language and culture. Lately, I also have taken a special interest in some (Southern) Sumatran pre-islamic writing systems (known as rencong, ka-ga-nga, or surat ulu).
I speak Indonesian and have basic knowledge of the Minangkabau language.
