This article should be made a lemma.

  1. This article was created two years ago, after which the no-one has made any significant contributions.
  2. The article reads like a combined HOWTO/advertisement in my opinion. It does not comment at all on why this format is notable or what went into its design, what its reception was etc. Overall, there is no critical commentary.
  3. Aside from the first sentence, the article provides no actual information about the subject. That is, other than the system requirements and the statement that "Various standalone players also support WMV HD, the most popular being [Microsoft's own] Xbox 360", which cites Microsoft's own material as its source. I have not been able to find any ground for the statement even in that material.
  4. I had a hunch, and have now confirmed that this text concerning the requirements is virtually identical to Microsoft's own marketing material. Thus there is no need to mirror it here without any comment, and should suffice to link to that site, and that link is not significant enough to have its own article.
  5. I find it unlikely that this subject is notable or interesting enough for someone else to contribute significantly to in the (reasonably) near future.

Due to the reasons I have argued above, I believe a lemma consisting of the first sentence should be substituted for this article. If no one argues against this, I will perform that change in a few days or so. Johan A. Förberg 21:28, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
