Pneumococcal vaccine

In medicine, pneumococcal vaccines are "vaccines or candidate vaccines used to prevent infections with streptococcus pneumoniae."[1]
Indications
In the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have created recommendations for the vaccine.[2][3]
Although vaccination is viewed as purview of primary care physicians, vaccinating inpatients during hospitalizations may improve vaccination rates.[4]
