The New Testament is the second part of the Christian Bible. It contains books narrating the life and times of Jesus of Nazareth, the letters of St. Paul to early Christian communities, and the Book of Revelations, a text describing - in very symbolic terms - what many see as the end of the world. It is the source for much of the creeds, doctrines and practices of Christianity. There are many single-volume editions of the New Testament, although most Bibles contain both the New and Old Testament.
