Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) is a division of the American Chemical Societylocated in Columbus, Ohio. CAS is the producer of a large database of chemical information. One of the principal databases is called Chemical Abstracts, which contains millions of document records from the chemical journal and patent literature.
