The Polytechnic University of the Philippines is a government university in the Philippines governed by R.A. 8292 or the Higher Education Act of 1997. It is a public school system founded as the Manila Business School (MBS) on October 1904 under Superintendent C.A. O'Reilly. It was founded to train professionals to work for the government and to answer the need of skilled workers in the business sector. It is one of the most competent tertiary schools in the country. Today, on its 103rd year it aims a vision of a Total University.
