Amber Rudd (born 1st August 1963) is the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions in the British government, since November 2018. She was the Home Secretary (internal affairs minister) from July 2016 to April 2018, when she was forced to resign over her department's treatment of some West Indians who had lived in Britain for decades. She was previously minister for energy and climate change. She is also the current Conservative Member of Parliament for Hastings and Rye.
