I received a Ph.D. in physics from the State University of New York (Stony Brook campus) in 1995, where I did experimental research in laser cooling. I have also worked as a post-doc at Brookhaven National Laboratory working with ultrafast lasers, in the laser industry with diode-pumped solid state lasers, and in the lighting industry. My main area of knowledge is in atomic, molecular, and optical physics, and as an experimental physicist I have accumulated considerable background in electronics, vacuum systems, and programming. I have also worked with digital clock systems and also as a private tutor. Currently I work in science education and live in New Jersey, USA.
