The Respect Party[1] is a left-wing political party in the United Kingdom which campaigns against privatisation, unemployment, Islamophobia and war. Founded in January 2004, it attracted media attention for its anti-war campaign against the 2003 invasion of Iraq, and won a seat in the 2005 general election. Its support is strongest in inner-city London and Birmingham; in both cities, party representatives serve as local councillors.

Respect lost its sole parliamentary seat to Labour in the 2010 general election.
