Should this be at Saint Peter? J. Noel Chiappa 18:49, 25 May 2008 (CDT)
- Or shouldn't it be "St. Peter" with a period? Hayford Peirce 12:51, 19 August 2008 (CDT)
- I think St without a period (or Mr or Mrs or Dr) is a British thing. We seem to have a "conflict of laws" here -- I seem to recall that the Chicago Manual of Style is supposed to be our guide, and it calls for a period if you abbreviate "St."; but CZ also allows articles to be written in different variants of English. Seems that we should standardize, though, so we don't have articles on "St Peter" but "St. Paul" and "Saint Claire." Chicago seems to have a sort of vague preference for spelling it out ("Saint").
