Citizendium Getting Started
Quick Start | About us | Help system | Start a new article | For Wikipedians

Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at CZ:Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list (do join!) and the blog. Please also join the workgroup mailing list(s) that concern your particular interests. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forums is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any constable for help, too. Me, for instance! Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! D. Matt Innis 08:12, 21 May 2008 (CDT)

Hi Thomas,

The philosophy articles that you've added (e.g., on ideas and substance) just are not long enough to be retained. We do have a minimum length requirement, even for short ("stub") starter entries. See CZ:Stubs. The text you've added would be better made into Definitions on Related Articles pages. Unfortunately, we'll have to your entries (or move them to the corresponding definition page) if they aren't expanded very soon.

Also, your description of the use of 'idea' in philosophy is much too narrow; it covers only one of many senses in which the term was used, just in the Early Modern period. --Larry Sanger 18:58, 28 May 2008 (CDT)
