O. J. Simpson
Orenthal James "O. J." Simpson (born July 9, 1947) is a former professional American football player for the NFL. He is also a sports commentator and actor. He was tried and acquitted for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman, but in a later civil lawsuit was found liable for their wrongful deaths. In 2007, he was arrested for an attempted robbery in Las Vegas.
In 2007, Simpson published a book titled If I Did It which describes Simpson's relationship with his ex-wife and then describes the murder in a purportedly fictional manner. Many have taken this to be a fictionalized confession by Simpson - after civil proceedings, the rights to the book were transferred to the Goldman family and it has been republished with the subtitle "Confessions of the Killer".
