Our mailing lists form one medium for communication. Other avenues include the talk pages on the wiki and the Citizendium forum. See CZ:Communication for a full list of communication media. All mailing lists are moderated. You can subscribe and unsubscribe (or change your options) following the links below.

Announcements

Receive announcements about the project, aimed at contributors. Listmembers have voted that these will be announcement lists only; for discussion, please use the Citizendium Forums; see the links to the subject boards on the Workgroups page.

Discussion and announcements

  • Citizendium-Tools: discussion and announcement list for Citizendium software and technical developers and people interested in that. Open list. Archive.
  • Citizendium-Editors: announcement list for the Citizendium's editors; for announcement and some discussion of editor-only issues; is not a general governance committee. Any editor may make an announcement. Subscription requires approval. Archive.
  • Citizendium-World: discussion and announcement list for the Citizendium's international community; for all issues regarding Citizendium in other languages than English. Archive.

Unsubscribing etiquette

Please do not send unsubscribe requests to the list. They are redistributed to hundreds of people who consider them spam. If you put yourself on a list, you can get yourself off. To unsubscribe, use http://lists.purdue.edu/mailman/options/<listname>citizendium-l. For example, to unsubscribe from the Citizendium-l list use the Citizendium-l unsubscribe page (http://lists.purdue.edu/mailman/options/citizendium-l). Put your email in the top space (don't bother with the password), and press "Unsubscribe."

We also have specialised mailing lists for workgroups.

Thanks

One of our first partners is Purdue University, which is hosting these mailing lists. Thanks to Purdue technical staff and two members of its Communications Department, Sorin Matei and William B. Collins.
