Joseph Wood (1712-1791) was a delegate of Georgia to the Continental Congress in 1777 and 1778.

Wood was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Sunbury, St. John’s Parish in Georgia about 1774. Wood served in the American revolutionary army in the Invasion of Canada and retired late in 1776. He was appointed one of the delegates to the Continental Congress in 1777 and elected again in 1778. He died on his plantation in September 1791.
