Casa Loma was a large mansion, built on bluffs that overlook Toronto, Ontario, that was built for Henry Pellatt in 1911.[1]
The mansion was built to look something like a medieval castle, and that look has been exploited as a set for many movies.[1]
Pellatt lost most of his fortune in 1924, and the building fell into public hands. It then served as a hotel, until 1937. Since then it has served as a museum.[1]
