Here is an example of an article that would be made much more interesting, and informative, if we were told one or two of the most notable aspects of the old Kingdom of Cochin.  Did it produce any notable thinkers?  Did it get involved in a devasting war?  In short, what events, people, features, etc. (obviously, only partly) "define" the Kingdom of Cochin in the minds of Indians?  I can give answers for my home state of [[Alaska]]--things like wilderness, cold, mountains, glaciers, Russian and then American ownership, etc. --[[User:Larry Sanger|Larry Sanger]] 13:11, 4 November 2006 (CST)

*Indeed... I know absolutely nothing about it: I just found the links browsing from 'Dutch-Portuguese War' and was appalled at the fact that the text was so poorly written and unreadable (and completely plagiarized from another Website). I only decided to clean the most egregious stuff, but I hope someone with real knowledge will work on that. But from what I have gleaned from a quick search, there are apparently no written records before contact with the Portuguese (in 1503). Maybe that was just an unreamerkable petty kingdom.. Who knows? In short, what events, people, features, etc. (obviously, only partly) "define" the Kingdom of Cochin in the minds of Indians?
