I had contacted 3 people about their Flickr photos of the TOPOL-M ... and one of them has now replied and given permission to use his photo. I have now uploaded it and it is available at [[:File:DannerGyde-Topol-M.jpg]]. The banners and wires in the upper right-hand corner could easily be removed, if you wish. Just let me know. I leave it up to you whether or not you wish to use this photo. :Thank you, Milt, for uploading this photo. I have substituted this photo for the one already present in the [[Missile vehicle]] article, although I have not removed the banners and wires. I believe that could be done at a later, convenient time. I consider this photo to be a slight improvement over the last photo you uploaded because in the last photo, the back end of the truck was cut off in the pic. I notice this newly uploaded photo shows only 7 wheels on the side, when I mentioned in the article that it was an 8-axle truck, which is consistent with the en:WP article photo. Oh well ! About Boiling point/Draft
Hi, Henry:
I have responded to your comment on my Talk page about Boiling point/Draft. I think that it may be best if you copied your comment and my response ... and pasted it into the talk page of Boiling point/Draft in the section devoted to comments about the re-approval. That is the more appropriate place for our interchange of comments. Regards, Milton Beychok 17:40, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
About your boiling point diagram
Henry, if you hurry and contact Anthony.Sebastian immediately, you may be able to get your diagram included before the re-approval is completed. But do so as quickly as you can ... and tell him that I am in agreement as documented right here. Milton Beychok 03:30, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
- I just inserted the diagram and left a message on User talk:Anthony.Sebastian and on Talk:Boiling point/Draft that Milton Beychok approves. Henry A. Padleckas 09:16, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
About Missile vehicle
Hi, Henry: After a quick scan of the subject article, I did the following:
- I created the credit line for the photo which the original uploader failed to do.
- I removed the "Technical Team" category from the Metadata form because we have no such workgroup for articles.
- I down-graded the status from 1 (Developed and ready for Approval) to 2 (Developing). Before upgrading to a status of 1, I suggest that:
- The article be reformatted by creating some relevant sections, for example, a fairly brief introductory section and a "History" section with a section header. Perhaps you could break it down into even more sections.
- Create and populate the "Related articles" subpage (equivalent to WP's "See also" section)
- Create and populate the "External links" subpage (hyperlinks to other website information ... but not WP.)
- Create and, if you can, populate the "Bibliography" subpage (more books and journal articles that are relevant).
- Let it sit for a while (perhaps at least a 2-3 weeks) to see if anyone else edits/add/deletes, revises the article.
Best regards, Milton Beychok 21:13, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you, Milt. Henry A. Padleckas 08:44, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
About uploading photos or other images
Henry, see what I said about uploading images (from Wikimedia Commons and/or Flickr) at Talk:Missile vehicle. I just uploaded the photo of the German Patriot launcher for you. You can install it in your article by using this coding: {{Image|GermanPatriotMissile.jpg|right|350px|Add image caption here.}} and you are free to change the width of 350px and to add any caption you desire. - Thank you, Milt. I substituted the pic you just uploaded into CZ in place of the previous pic in Missile vehicle. Henry A. Padleckas 10:19, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
- I finally found a photo of Russia's TOPOL-M truck-mounted ICBM for which I could identify the creator. I uploaded it into CZ and then placed it in your article Missile truck. Hope you like it. If not, just remove it. Milton Beychok 20:50, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
- Milt, thank you for reviewing the Missile vehicle article, fixing spelling mistakes in there, and finding and uploading a CZ-suitable photo of the Topol-M vehicle. I fixed corresponding spelling mistakes in the WP article. I plan to keep the Topol-M pic in the CZ Missile vehicle article. Henry A. Padleckas 04:08, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
