The city of Munich (München) is well known for its prominence in the brewing industry. Six breweries are located within the city limits and as such are allowed to serve beer at the world famous Oktoberfest. Augustiner, Hofbräu, Hacker-Pschorr, Spaten, Löwenbräu, and Paulaner all claim Munich as their headquarters and primary brewery.
