Fairness and neutrality

I have tried to write as neutrally as is possible, but I am obviously a proponent of MMA and can't be neutral in my thoughts. My wording may reveal a bias. More discussion of the controversies of MMA would be good, including claims for and against, as well as citations for evidence supporting both sides.
