This is a (perhaps temporary) place where we can post links to articles that have been deleted--but which we don't wish to completely eliminate. Articles in the "Cold Storage" area are not editable, and it will require an editor request to remove an article from Cold Storage so that articles may continue to be edited.

We have not yet established firm rules about which articles will make their way into Cold Storage. Tentatively, articles that would otherwise have to be deleted by constables may be moved by editors into Cold Storage. Also, at least some articles deletable by constables acting on their own recognizance may be moved here by constables.

Constables: after an article has been moved here (correctly), put the {{coldstorage}} template at the top of articles in Cold Storage and lock the page.

For the original discussion of the "Cold Storage" idea, see this Forums thread.
