Image request
I've been looking for a good image of a bird (or bat) pollinator, preferably one that actually shows pollen on its head. I have no such photos in my collection (well I do, but they are low quality frame saves from video). Anyone have a good one?
Also, my first try on this page isn't really well formatted. Can anyone improve the layout. I know what I'd like it to look like, but don't know the computer codes to do it. David L Green 21:59, 19 May 2007 (CDT)
- I can't help you, but I did want to say how fabulous I think your images are, thank you for bringing them.Nancy Sculerati 22:04, 19 May 2007 (CDT)
- How about this one from flickr? You would need to ask the photographer to release it under a free license or give Citizendium permission to use it, but most people are happy to work with us in my experience. --Joe Quick (Talk) 22:09, 19 May 2007 (CDT)
- You might also be able to get permission to use this photo by contacting the person listed here. --Joe Quick (Talk) 22:23, 19 May 2007 (CDT)
I have asked for the flickr hummingbird photo to be released under a Creative Commons license. BTW, David. These are some very nice photos you have taken here. :) ---Stephen Ewen 22:33, 19 May 2007 (CDT)
For a bat image, this one is awesome. It comes from Bat Conservation International, and while they charge for use of their photos, this seems like the type of group that would be willing to release an image or at least give us permission to use it free of charge. Their contact page lists an email address for requesting to use their photos, but I'll wait to hear whether you'd like to use the image before following through, since that is a much more involved process than contacting someone on flickr. ;-) --Joe Quick (Talk) 00:56, 21 May 2007 (CDT)
