Hello, would this be an appropriate place to include Nursing Informatics as a topic, or should that have its own page?  Thank you, [[User:Aric S. Campling|Aric S. Campling]] 08:39, 8 June 2007 (CDT)

I suppose it depends on who you ask. Some people use the phrase "healthcare informatics", but, well, old habits die hard. Now nursing informatics isn't exactly the same thing. At a recent conference (VeHu a.k.a. CampCPRS), I sat in on a number of nursing track sessions, and was ''very'' impressed by how detail oriented the nurses were. It also gave me a bit more insight into the types of questions nurses deal with on a day to day basis. So, I think that, yes, this article should mention nursing informatics, but there really ought to be a separate article, if for no other reason but that it deserves one.
