decreased production (hypoproliferation), increased destruction, ineffect production (like can't get out of marrow - important for differentiating from other types), acute blood loss, redistribution (like a big spleen - i feel this IS a cause of anemia and should be listed separately even though other anemias also have splenomegaly). We should redact and augment the Wikipedia article. I have started doing this, but anemia's a big topic.
