I am a linguist specialising in acquisition of second language phonology and comprehension-based language learning. Following a BA in linguistics (Manchester) and an MA in language acquisition (Durham), I lectured part-time at the universities of York and Durham in the UK. Currently I teach linguistics and English at Mie University in Japan. My first work to be published, 'Learner Attitudes to Comprehension-Based Language Learning' is to appear as a chapter in the Multilingual Matters volume, Input Matters (2007).
