Blind Guardian is a German metal band founded in Krefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany in 1984. The founding members were Hansi Kürsch, André Olbrich, Marcus Siepen, Thomen Stauch. The only change in line-up since the band's founding has been the replacement of the drummer Thomen Stauch by Frederik Ehmke in 2005.
