Philip ("Phil") Gordon is the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs in the U.S. Department of State. Prior to his appointment, where he is in charge of the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, he was Senior Fellow for U.S. Foreign Policy at the Brookings Institution, where he has worked since 2000.
