Background
Lance Allred is a historian of the ancient Near East. He has degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Oklahoma, and, most recently, Johns Hopkins University. He doesn't expect to earn any more degrees.
He has broad interests in the ancient world, including Egypt, the Levant, and Mesopotamia from the development or writing to the conquests of Alexander. His primary research interest is southern Mesopotamia at the end of the third millennium. He has training in various dialects of Akkadian, Biblical Hebrew, Hittite, and Sumerian.
He is currently a postdoc working in upstate New York.[1]
Hobbies and Interests
In addition to the ancient world, Lance enjoys studying (and drinking) beer and wine, playing chess, and various sports, including American football and soccer.
