My name is Mark Mitchell, and I am a political analyst and researcher in Texas. But, to quote Ash, it wasn't always like this. I graduated from Asbury College in Wilmore, KY in 1996 with a BA in English. Then I bounced around through several corporate and non-profit jobs including a stint with the American Red Cross. In 2001, I finished a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Duke University, and I took a job teaching English and rhetoric at a charter school in Raleigh, NC. Finally, I landed in Austin, TX and enrolled in the Univ. of Texas's graduate English program.
