Amber Rudd (born 1st August 1963) was the British Home Secretary (internal affairs minister) from July 2016 to April 2018, when she was forced to resign over her department's treatment of some West Indians who had lived in Britain for decades. She was previously minister for energy and climate change. She is also the current Conservative Member of Parliament for Hastings and Rye.
