Prince Henry of Wales, Duke of Sussex (born 15th September 1984), usually known as Prince Harry, is sixth in line to the throne of the United Kingdom and other countries. He is the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales, as well as grandson of Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Fully Prince Henry Charles Albert David of Wales, Harry was born in London. He was privately educated, but unlike his older brother Prince William he chose not to go to university, instead entering the British Armed Forces. He briefly saw action in the Afghan War, and aside from his military career is also involved in charity work.
In 2017 his engagement was announced to Meghan Markle. This will be a very non-traditional royal wedding, with the bride being a divorcee, an American and of mixed race (with a black mother).
On the morning of his wedding day he was granted the peerages of Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel.
