Welcome!
Welcome, new author
Welcome to Citizendium as a new author! We're very glad you've joined us. We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably also want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at Getting Started for other helpful "startup" pages, and at CZ:Home for a complete listing of help and other community pages. If you wish, just ask me to create a "personal sandbox" for you where you can test out editing and writing articles. If you need help to get going, it is a good idea to join our discussion forums. That's where we discuss policy, proposals or technical problems. You can ask any constable for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and thank you! We appreciate your willingness to share your expertise, and we hope to see you begin actively editing and contributing to Citizendium. Milton Beychok 23:46, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Adam,
- Talk about small worlds - I was in Pullman many years ago visiting friends who happened to be on the entertainment committee for the students. I was there when Emerson Lake and Palmer showed. Talk about stuffed shirts.
- I am a subgroup editor in applied linguistics. I tend to author in other areas and have not had much interaction with the others. Let me know what you have got planned and I will be happy to lend a hand if needed Thomas Simmons 02:31, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
- Welcome from me too. Early modern British literature sounds interesting. What does it mean nowadays? Gissing, Firbank, Huxley? Anyway, I hope you enjoy editing here. Ro Thorpe 02:38, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hello, glad to be here, and thank you all for the welcomes. Yes, Pullman is quite the little town. I plan on working first on the literary movements I'm familiar with, specifically the Enlightenment. Early modern Brit. Lit. encompasses up through the Enlightenment, so about at 1785 cutoff, putting Gissing, Firbank, and Huxley in an awkward place, not quite modern and not quite early modern (imagine: post-early modern? ha). --Adam Heidebrink 03:21, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
