Robert F. Kennedy (1925-1968) was the brother of U.S. President John F. Kennedy and Senator Edward Kennedy. Robert F. served as his brother's Attorney General, then as Senator from New York and was assassinated while a candidate for the 1968 Democratic Party presidential nomination.
