Classification and naming
Amanita virosa or the destroying angel; also European Destroying angel or Death Angel; is one of three pure white and deadly poisonous fungi in the genus Amanita, also known as Destroying Angel.
Amanita virosa was first collected and described by Elias Magnus Fries a Swedish mycologist and botanist.
