This template creates a standard header on pages for individual years.

Place at the top of year pages; takes on optional standard argument (simply that year), allowing for disambiguation if needed.

Standard header: {{years}}; This is a list of historical events for the year {Template:1 that are of general interest.

Custom year: {{years|1984}}; This is a list of historical events for the year {Template:1 that are of general interest.
