::there are a couple scholarly books on the Adams political family, such as '' Descent from Glory: Four Generations of the John Adams Family'' by Paul C. Nagel (1999) and ''The Adams family,'' (1931) by James Truslow Adams (no relation). as well as popular books (''Adams National Historic Site: A family's legacy to America'' by Wilhelmina S Harris; ''Meet the remarkable Adams family'' by Lillian J Bragdon (1967) and of course the many-volume letterpress edition of the Adams Family Papers underway at Harvard UP.
