While in my opinion this article is already quite readable, in the opinion of a couple of our resident copyeditors, who are very busy with their own projects these days, the article could use another copyediting or, in some places, light rewriting. There is a lot of good information here, but as an encyclopedia entry it should be written in prose rather than listed in the form of a timeline. -- Eric Winesett 12:14, 9 May 2007 (CDT)

- I heavily edited the original to remove the present tense and to make it more "readable"(in terms of flow) and less "timeline", but it was Dr. Petit's preference to change it back and I am in no position to question that.--Robert W King 13:54, 11 July 2007 (CDT)
