The Washington Nationals are a Major League Baseball team based in Washington, D.C.. The team was founded in 1969 as the Montreal, Quebec Expos, an expansion team in the National League. Later, the team moved from Montreal to Washington before the start of the 2005 season. [1] [2] [3]
