==Project Description==

This [[CZ:Eduzendium|Eduzendium]] project is the first of four components of a multi-genre research and writing project (described in full [http://www.ilstu.edu/~sgelbma/igrp.pdf here]). In addition to writing encyclopedia articles about individual interest groups, POL 214 students will write opinion essays that use their peers' encyclopedia articles as a research springboard, letters to the editor that respond to their peers' opinion essays, and compositions that reflect on their research and writing process. Grant funding to develop this project was provided by the [http://www.ctlt.ilstu.edu/ Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology] at Illinois State University.
This [[CZ:Eduzendium|Eduzendium]] project is designed as a foundation for the Power Generation Body of Knowledge. As more articles are developed by academics, students and industry specialists, we can build on this foundation.

These articles will be closed to editing by other citizens until after the conclusion of the course, though we'd appreciate hearing any comments or suggestions you might have on their respective talk subpages.

The course mechanics

Eduzendium courses need a number of help pages in order to function properly within the Citizendium. The following instructions will guide you through the process of creating these pages. Pay special attention to bolded information just above the edit window. After each step, return to your course homepage and reload it to receive further instructions. You still need to create the following pages (when you see this section disappear, you are done):

Project Description

This Eduzendium project is designed as a foundation for the Power Generation Body of Knowledge. As more articles are developed by academics, students and industry specialists, we can build on this foundation.
