James Robert Jones is an American lawyer, former member of the United States Congress, and former United States Ambassador to Mexico.[1] Jones represented Oklahoma in the U.S. House of Representatives, the lower house of the USA's national assembly, from 1972 through 1987.
Jones was Ambassador to Mexico from 1993 until 1997.[2]
In December 2010 Jones agreed to serve on The Constitution Project's Guantanamo Task Force in December 2010.[3][4][5]
