Hi Bruce, I saw [http://en.citizendium.org/wiki?title=Recovered_memory&diff=100596814&oldid=100500544 this] edit and assume it was a mistake? There is a bug in the software that deletes material if we begin to edit a section, but then change our mind and don't change anything, but hit the 'save' anyway. It then proceeds to delete everything! Anyway, if this deletion was intentional (which I'm pretty sure it wasn't), I would expect an explanation on the talk page that described why you thought all of it should be deleted! [[User:D. Yes, sorry that was definitely a mistake, I didn't even realise that had happened! I was just looking, trying to figure out how I should format my references for a section I was doing on eduzendium as part of my University course. Apologies for any inconvenience caused and thanks for fixing it up for me!--[[User:Bruce Traven McLintock|Bruce Traven McLintock]] 16:48, 5 November 2009 (UTC) | |||
No problem :-) It has happened to everybody at least once. Just remember - if you don't make an edit - hit 'cancel' not 'save'. It took us forever to realize the bug. We all thought that others were intentionally deleting things, which can tend to upset editors. Tell <s>Gareth</s> Prof Leng I said hello! :) [[User:D. Matt Innis|D. Matt Innis]] |

Welcome!
Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at CZ:Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list (do join!) and the blog. Please also join the workgroup mailing list(s) that concern your particular interests. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forums is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any constable for help, too. Me, for instance! Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! Hayford Peirce 15:48, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
