Microbiology is very different than infectious disease. I have created 2 subgroups and I know someone out there is going to think it is redundant. Infectious Disease is going to approach more clinical aspects, and microbiology is going to approach more biological aspects. I know many Infectious Disease doctors who do not enjoy the fine details of microbiology that is not clinically relevant. Therefore, I think there should be a branch in the 2 groups. Also, infectious disease can also focus more on the disease and microbio more on the organism. There will be overlap and that is fine. Hope you all agree. why microbiology is distinct from infectious disease
Tom Kelly 07:22, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
