Still, there's no reason the header (all the stuff up to "''Citizendium''") and the footer ("width=10%" to "[[Main Page]][/small]") couldn't be in common templates which both call, and that way any tweaks to the presentation would only need to be done once. Help!
Could someone please fiddle with this template http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/Template:Community so that it does not look so bad with the new skin?
You can see what I mean at the bottom of this page: http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Getting_Started
If you change {{Community}}, once you've perfected it, please then copy your changes to {{Community without category}}.
Also, the color scheme for the various community pages templates (which use {{Community}}), like the {{Getting Started}} template, http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/Template:Getting_Started now really sucks, even more than it used to. That shouldn't be too hard to fix.
The other thing that needs fixing there is the spacing between the links (there's two much space between the first and second rows of links).
Any help would be greatly appreciated...... --Larry Sanger 13:41, 21 March 2008 (CDT)
- Is the new skin default now? I still have the old look so should I change to the new skin in my preferences or will that switch over happen automatically? Chris Day (talk) 15:00, 21 March 2008 (CDT)
I just changed the background to fafafa. It should look the same at the top but better at the bottom. Problem is my edits seem to take a while to show up in this new skin so I'll wait to see if this edit takes hold before making more changes. Chris Day 23:41, 22 March 2008 (CDT)
- OK, how is that? Shades can be changed as needed. Chris Day 17:40, 23 March 2008 (CDT)
Duplicate edits
Do we really have to have Template:Community without category being basically a copy of this one, without the [[Category:{{{title}}}]]? Sigh, I guess moving the entire body into a sub-template would mean passing all the arguments through this one and Template:Community without category, which would be a hassle.
Still, there's no reason the header (all the stuff up to "Citizendium") and the footer ("width=10%" to "Main Page[/small]") couldn't be in common templates which both call, and that way any tweaks to the presentation would only need to be done once. J. Noel Chiappa 19:21, 23 March 2008 (CDT)
