Depersonalization Disorder
Hi Richard, welcome! Thanks for starting your new article. I filled in the checklist on the metadata page so you can see how to do it. You'll figure it out in no time. The subpages9 process is new so we are all learning it now. If you have any questions feel free to ask me, I'm a constable and can answer some, or at least point you in the right direction. --Matt Innis (Talk) 20:43, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
little things mean a lot!
Thanks for the quick edit at dog breeding#references. Have a splitting headache and no idea why that wasn't working. Off to take some aspiring--welcome to CZ! Aleta Curry 22:00, 17 October 2007 (CDT)
Template tag
The Wiki provides a checkbox for indicating WP content. Your template is both unecessary and makes it appear as though you are either the progenetor or the primary contributor to the articles in question. Michael J. Formica 19:34, 12 November 2007 (CST)
Abonormal psychology article
Richard: would you kindly go here...Abnormal psychology/Sandbox...and provide a reference for this material, which you contributed? Thanks! --Michael J. Formica 14:10, 4 December 2007 (CST)
- Richard: I'm not certain how things work in Ottawa, but it is common practice in academic circles to provide a reference for substantive statements, whether those statements are considered common wisdom or not. Thanks for the reference. --Michael J. Formica 13:06, 5 December 2007 (CST)
List of articles
Hi Richard: Listen....you put together a huge list of articles that needed to be written a while back. I have looked at, and even edited it some, but I can't seem to f ind it now. I wanted to migrate your work over to Category:Psychology Catalogs. Thoughts. Thanks! Blessings.... --Michael J. Formica 08:30, 8 December 2007 (CST)
- Here's the link for the core articles in psychology. Cheers, Richard Pettitt 11:40, 8 December 2007 (CST)
Just curious
Richard was your mother a teacher for a school in Fairfax County, VA? --Robert W King 13:47, 15 December 2007 (CST)
- Not that I was aware of. She is, however, an amateur genealogist, and based on her work the only relatives I know about are located in Canada and the UK. Richard Pettitt 14:04, 15 December 2007 (CST)
- Different Pettitt then. ;) --Robert W King 14:07, 15 December 2007 (CST)
alcohol abuse redirect also?
Richard, if you know how (I don't!) you might make a redirect from "alcohol abuse" to your new alcohol (drug) cluster too. David E. Volk 17:09, 24 December 2007 (CST)
- Thanks for looking at alcohol, and for your suggestions. I do in fact know how to do redirects, and I'd like to offer to do some for you. For example, should I redirect "ethyl alcohol" to "ethanol"? Richard Pettitt 17:34, 24 December 2007 (CST)
Road rage
Richard...I could really use your help migrating the Sandbox info nback into this article in a coherent form. Thanks and blessings... --Michael J. Formica 17:43, 24 December 2007 (CST)
- I'd be glad to help, although not at this very moment (i'm about to head out the door...) Do you have a strategy in mind, or perhaps an article outline to be followed? Or maybe that's something we'll have to discuss. In any case, let me know what I can do, and I'll do my best. Richard Pettitt 18:01, 24 December 2007 (CST)
Help with source citations
Hi, i think i don't entirely understand how the source reference thing works.. could you help me out with it? Bram De Clerck 13:29, 27 December 2007 (CST)
Related Articles
You've replaced the r template with regular links in Nitroglycerin/Related Articles. Were you aware of the following page while doing so? http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Related_Articles#The_.7B.7Br.7D.7D_template
Thank you, Yuval Langer 17:46, 6 January 2008 (CST)
- I was unaware of that page, so thanks for letting me know. I've undone my edit. (I thought those templates were remnants from a WP import or something.) Richard Pettitt 22:36, 6 January 2008 (CST)
- Hurrah! Thank you! (^_^) Yuval Langer 17:25, 9 January 2008 (CST)

Hi Richard —Your neighbourhood Mistress of Ceremonies here. I see you’re working away on write-a-thon Wednesday, so come on over to the party and sign in! (otherwise I'll add you to the list of Shy Boys) Aleta Curry 18:52, 9 January 2008 (CST)

Personality disorder cycle
The personality disorder cycle is now complete. Articles for all currently identified primary personality disorders have been added, along with internal references to the Personality disorder, the Cluster desriptions, and a template detailing both the clusters, and their associated disorders. Feel free to jump in! --Michael J. Formica 08:11, 17 January 2008 (CST)
Evincing evidence
Hello, Richard, how nice of you to consult me. You are right: 'evince' is synonymous with 'show' and is the correct word. I don't regard 'evidence' as a verb at all. Do you want to change it back or shall I? - Ro Thorpe 10:48, 27 January 2008 (CST)
- Will do. Cheers - Ro Thorpe 10:53, 27 January 2008 (CST)
- To evince does indeed mean to show, and is synonynous with evidence. It is not the definition that is important here, it is the intention of the word. Evince is an improper choice in this case. If the word evidence does not sit well with the two of you, a better choice, in keeping with the warp and woof of the topic would be 'demonstrate'. Evince suggests intentional manifestation. In this case evidence means just show...no intention. --Michael J. Formica 17:00, 27 January 2008 (CST)
- Since 'demonstrate' is already there, we could let it do the job twice, and just drop 'evidence', which is not a verb in the standard, non-technical English we are supposed to be favouring on CZ. Ro Thorpe 17:10, 27 January 2008 (CST)
Schizophrenia
Richard: I tightened up the intro, but the first sentence of the second paragraph ("...break from reality...") needs to be expanded. As you are the primary on this article, may I suggest you do your thing? Blessings... --Michael J. Formica 17:30, 27 January 2008 (CST)
- Hi Richard, I saw that you wrote most of this but haven't edited for a while. I have started to work on several related articles and would like to see Schizophrenia developing further, too. Let me know if I can be of help with that. --Daniel Mietchen 12:11, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- I started Scizhophrenia from study notes I made for an exam last year (after expanding and citing). I don't have any specialized knowledge on the subject so I don't think I have much more to contribute to the article. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. Methylphenidate image, etc
Richard, I have added the image. You might adjust the size, especially after expanding the article. I put links on the bottom of the page that are useful for finding more information with which to expand the article. These are the two sites I use for starting drug articles. (the FDA and the Canadian "Drug Bank" project.
