:I was puzzled by that too but apparently it's the word for the industrial waste form processing coal, iron and other rocks. The word is still used in mining today but forgotten in Scotland since the mines have all closed. [[User:Derek Harkness|Derek Harkness]] 11:18, 3 August 2007 (CDT)
