Hey Ian. I'm glad to see you here, especially  with the quality of your work on Wikipedia. Sorry it took so long to get you on board. I'm looking at your email to CZ Personnel right now. We were swamped when we were doing it manually.
cheers

Hello Ian,
I am giving you this personal invitation to join us this week for Biology Week!
You're a ''Citizendium'' Biology Author and we need authors as much as editors here to get involved.  Did you know that there are over ''200'' biology authors here?  Yep!
Please join us on the wiki and add or revise biology articles.  Also, please let your friends and colleagues who are biologists, biology students, or naturalists, know about Biology Week and ask them to join us, too.  Any way you can help make it an event would be most welcome.  Think of it as a [[CZ:Biology Workgroup|Biology Workgroup]] open house.  Let's see if we can kick up activity a notch!
Thanks in advance! --[[User:Larry Sanger|Larry Sanger]] 14:29, 22 September 2008 (CDT)

Welcome, Ian, you have the distinction of being the first new recruit under the self-registration system (not counting the vandal we just banned ;-) ). --Larry Sanger 19:42, 22 January 2007 (CST)

Citizendium Getting Started
Quick Start | About us | Help system | Start a new article | For Wikipedians

Tasks: start a new article • add basic, wanted or requested articles • add definitionsadd metadata • edit new pages

Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun!

Hi Anthony. What more can I say? If it was in the article space I wouldn't save until I was happy leaving something others could see. If I'm in user space I feel more comfortable making a mess. I suppose I should adapt to a different culture. Ian Ramjohn 20:38, 22 January 2007 (CST)
We're making up the culture now, I think. If it's more comfortable for you, I'm fine with leaving the page where it is for a short while. I'd say just move it over when you're done working on it, hopefully before someone else gets around to starting that article though! Anthony 20:53, 22 January 2007 (CST)
