As a Military Workgroup Editor, I determine that this article, in its present form, does not meet [[CZ: Neutrality Policy]] because it does not present the position of the U.S. military in the case. I've taken the liberty of setting up the often-confusing metadata.
From some experience here, I've found it often works better not to write about individual cases until an overall context is established. For example, we had a number of imported Wikipedia articles about prisoners at Guantanamo, but there was no common threading until extrajudicial detention, extrajudicial detention, U.S., and extrajudicial detention, U.S., George W. Bush Administration.
It's also often harder to avoid advocacy and stay neutral at the individual level. At first glance, this article seems written from the defense perspective for Long.
Note that there is an Iraq War article, and it certainly would be appropriate to branch a balanced article on troop attitudes and the legal context from it. Howard C. Berkowitz 22:45, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
Needs to be balanced or moved
As a Military Workgroup Editor, I determine that this article, in its present form, does not meet CZ: Neutrality Policy because it does not present the position of the U.S. military in the case. Unless this is corrected, I will move it to the author's userspace. I have asked for such modifications here, over two weeks ago, and in email. Howard C. Berkowitz 22:11, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
