I received a Ph.D. in physics from the State University of New York (Stony Brook campus) in 1995, where I did experimental research in laser cooling. I have also worked as a post-doc at Brookhaven National Laboratory working with ultrafast lasers, in the laser industry with diode-pumped solid-state lasers, and in the lighting industry. My main area of knowledge is in atomic, molecular, and optical physics, and, as an experimental physicist, I have accumulated considerable background in electronics, vacuum systems, and programming. Since moving to New Jersey, USA, in the late 1990s, I have worked in science education, with digital clock systems, as a private tutor, and on laser development.
