And as a technician with The Record Plant Remote, the Record Plant's studio-on-wheels mobile operation, Prestopino worked as a sound engineer for countless musicians. As a result of his skill as an accompanist on many fretted instruments and of his availability during off-site recordings, Prestopino also sometimes ended up on hit records by major rock stars, including Arrowsmith, Rick Derringer and Alice Cooper.
